COVID Protocols/Updates

At Hamilton Veterinary Services we are taking the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and have implemented many protocols to ensure the safety of our staff and clients. 


Unfortunately, we are remaining curbside until further notice to keep both our valued clients and staff safe and healthy. Just as before, you will be required to pass a verbal COVID screening test prior to your pet being allowed into the clinic. If you happen to fail the test, you and your pet will NOT be permitted entry into the facility and will have to wait 2 weeks before being able to book another appointment. 


Due to these changes, no clients will be permitted access into the main clinic area or exams rooms. After passing a COVID screening over the phone, we will ask you to come between the doors at the front of the clinic to sign necessary paperwork. The staff will then safely retrieve your pet for the appointment while you wait in your car. Some exceptions apply: 

  • For general/medical consultations, you may wait in between the doors at the clinic to speak to the veterinarian if you are unable to wait in your vehicle
  • For euthanasias, only 1 client wearing a mask is allowed into the room during the procedure  
  • If the patient is aggressive or very anxious and we are unable to handle the pet, we may ask you to come in to assist ONLY if you are wearing a mask. 


At this time, we are able to take any type of payments with our new portable debit machine! We are also accepting cash, but would like to limit this as much as possible if you have other means of payment. 


After the completion of your appointment, our staff ensures to disinfect all surfaces within the room and in the area between the doors before the next patient/clients are brought in!
